[BETA] Experimental Ranking
Hey everyone!
We're launching something new today — a PvP Ranking System that tracks kill performance across Territory Wars and Guild vs Guild battles. Before anything else: this is a beta. It'll stay that way for a while as we watch how it performs and whether it's something the community actually enjoys having around.
Why does this exist?
The goal here is simple — give people one more reason to show up and fight. Not to create drama, not to add pressure, just to make those GvG and TW moments feel like they mean a little more. With that in mind, the system is designed to reward kills over anything else. Dying isn't heavily punished — what matters is that you're out there participating and taking people down.
How does it work?
- Only kills from Territory Wars and GvG are counted — open world PvP is not tracked
- Self-kills are ignored — bomber blowing themselves up doesn't count
- Friendly fire is ignored — accidentally (or not so accidentally) bombing your own guildmates won't pad anyone's score
- Your score determines your rank, not just raw kill count — so quality and consistency matter
- The Kill Ranking refreshes once per day
- The GvG Ranking refreshes once per week, every Monday
The ranking already has data in it
We didn't launch this empty — the Kill Ranking already has data from the last few days of Territory Wars, and the GvG Ranking already reflects the last 2 GvG battles. So if you've been active recently, there's a good chance you're already on the board.
It's not perfect — and we know it
Bugs will happen. Edge cases will slip through. And yes, some people will probably try to game the system. We're not naive about that. What we can tell you is that suspicious activity is traceable, and anyone caught trying to abuse the ranking will have all their kills wiped from the board. Play smart, play fair.
What's the reward?
Honestly? Right now, just bragging rights. Since this is still experimental, we're not making any promises. But if the system proves stable and the community is into it, we'd love to turn this into a seasonal ranking — where top players at the end of each season get something to actually show for it. Nothing confirmed yet, but it's the direction we're thinking.
We're excited to see how this plays out. Hit us up with feedback, report anything that looks off, and most importantly — go get some kills.
